Gregory Sokerka

Gregory Paul Sokerka, age 69 of Springfield, Missouri passed away Monday, September 12, 2016 at his home.

He was born a son of John Paul Sokerka and Helen Cecelia (Sterbenz) Sokerka was born February 10, 1947 in Passaic, New Jersey.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, John Stephen “Jack” Sokerka.

Survivors are his children, Jon Felt of Phoenix, Arizona, Gerald Scott Sokerka of Florida, Heather Graves and husband Steven of Overland Park, Kansas, T.J. Sokerka of Missouri, Simon Sokerka of Springfield, Missouri, and Sarah Sokerka of Wichita, Kansas; sister, Jonlen Macdonald and husband John of Claremont, Florida; and their children, Jeff Macdonald and Jason Macdonald; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

There will be a memorial graveside service with full military honors at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 23, 2016 in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri with Chaplain Larry Cooper officiating under the care of Herman Lohmeyer Funeral Home in Springfield, Missouri.
