Gregory Beckett

Gregory James Beckett “Greg” 67 years of age of Windyville, MO (formerly from Villisca, IA), passed away on August 4, 2021, in Springfield, Mo.

Greg was born 11-24-1953 in Shenandoah, IA to Richard and Marjorie Beckett. Greg lived much of his life in his childhood home in Villisca, IA. Greg served in the U.S. Army which enabled him to travel to many places and earn honors in the army. After he discharged from the army, Greg enjoyed his long-time career in trucking, operating his Hamm radio, having Barbeques with family and friends, and riding and working on his Harley Davidson Motorcycle which, he won several awards doing. Greg was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Lebanon, MO where he married his wife Debi whom he adored and loved spending time with on the farm in Windyville, MO. Greg was always witty, fun, and caring. Greg cherished spending time with his friends and loved ones and was always there to help whenever called upon.

Greg is survived by his wife Debi; his mother Marjorie; his Children Brittany, Joshua, Jeremy, and John; his stepchildren Daniel, Rachel, Nathan, and Marcy; and 22 grandchildren. Greg is preceded in death by his father Richard, Brother Jeff, and late wife Brenda.

Greg was and is much loved by his family and friends and will be dearly missed by those who knew and love him.

Memorial Service will be at 11:00 am, Saturday, August 14th, 2021 at Trinity Episcopal Church 100 Harwood Ave Lebanon, Missouri 65536, with The Reverend Jerry Miller presiding over services.
