Grace Baxter

Grace Jeanette (Black) Baxter was born on January 25, 1926 in Los Angeles, California to Lora Jane (Ivey) and Milton Lee Black. She married J. Edgar Baxter on May 9, 1953. Grace was a tax accountant in St. Louis and was a member of Green Trails United Methodist Church.

Grace was preceded in death by her husband, her brothers, Milton Lee Black, Jr. and William Black. She is survived by her only child, Bruce (Audrey) Baxter; her grandchildren, David and Bethany Baxter; and other loving family members, Joyce Ann Black Garcia, Garry Black, Janet (Stuart) Rindfusz, John (Barbara) Baxter, David and Kurt Rindfusz, and John and Lance Baxter.

Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, July 12, 2008 in Wesley United Methodist Church in Springfield, Mo. with funeral services starting at 2 p.m. under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home. A second vistation will be held from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. Sunday, July 13, 2008 in the Forever Bellerive Chapel Creve Coeur, Mo. with chapel and committal services starting at 2 p.m.. Entombment will be in Forever Bellerive Mausoleum.
