Gladys E. Abell

Gladys E. (Meyer) Hornback Abell, 85 of Walnut Grove, Mo. passed away Friday November 24, 2006 at Ash Grove Healthcare, Ash Grove, Mo. She was born November l7, l921 in Chicago, Ill. The daughter of the late Arthur J. Meyer and Clara A. (Pohley) Meyer. United in marriage in Peoria, Ill. to James J. Hornback USN, he preceded her in death in 1987. United in marriage in Lakeport Calif. to David Abell, he preceded her in death in 2000. Gladys loved being a foster mother, arts and crafts, quilting, travel, and tennis. She was preceded in death by her brother Kenneth R. Meyer of Washington Ill.

She will be most missed by her surviving daughter Marjorie Harris of Walnut Grove, a niece and nephews and a step granddaughter.

Graveside Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2006 in Mount Emblem Cemetery, Elmhurst, Ill., under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home 500 E. Walnut Springfield, MO.
