George Retterer
George F. Retterer, 89, Springfield, passed away Saturday December 25, 2010 in Ozarks Community Hospital.
He was born April 3, 1921 in Woodstock, Illinois to George and Edna (Hoch) Retterer.
He was a veteran of World War II serving in the US Army in Africa.
George was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Roberta Retterer.
He is survived by his brother, Roger Retterer; nieces and nephews, Bruce, Sue, Terry, Bonnie, Wendy, and Lance; and many other family members and friends.
Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday December 29, 2010 in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church with Father Thomas Reidy celebrant. Burial with military honors will be in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass at the church.
