Genevieve Virginia Meier 83 of Nixa, Missouri passed away Friday evening December 16, 2011in Cox South Hospital.
Genevieve was born January 10, 1928 in Winfield, Kansas to Floral and Goldena (Beard) Darnell. Mrs. Meier was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary for over 50 years and the Fraternal Order of Eagles for 11 years. She enjoyed painting and crocheting and loved fishing and camping.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, William T. King and her second husband, Marvin Meier; her son Wayne King; her grandchildren, Cody and Lance King and her seven siblings.
Genevieve is survived by her two children and their spouses, Linda and Randy Riggs, Tom and Susan King; her grandchildren, James Bartley, Justin King, Billy Dale and Ginger Dale; six great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
A memorial graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday December 21, 2011 in the Highland Cemetery in Winfield, Kansas with Rev. Dennis Fulbright officiating. No visitation is planned.
