Gary Thor Smith, 66 of Springfield passed away in his home in Springfield. Gary was born Sept. 26, 1943 in Oak Park, Illinois to Charles and Emily (Johnson) Smith.
He is survived by his children, Scott Smith, Mary McNames, Chuck Smith and Shawna, his sister, Evylynn Herman his grandchildren and other family members and friends.
Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Friday, November 13, 2009 in Herman H. Lohmeyer Chapel with Rev. Tommy Loving officiating. No visitation is planned. Online condolences can be shared at www.hhlohmeyer.com.
