Frederick Kosar

The heavens gained an angel in Frederick Stephan Kosar (81) the afternoon of Friday December 13th, 2024 while surrounded by family from across the country in Mercy Medical, Springfield, MO.

Fred was born February 4, 1943 to Stephan and Mary Kosar in Chicago Illinois where he grew learning his craft in furniture creation and home building. Later his knowledge of business helped grow a thermal bag company which lasted to his retirement. He enjoyed fast cars and attended numerous NASCAR races over the years while trying to break the sound barrier himself. He quickly discovered his Mustang truly did not have a governor. The love he shared with his grandchildren and great grandchildren gave him profound joy that will never be forgotten. His sense of humor was a bit unique which everyone loved but if you were hesitant to laugh you would surely receive one of his signature eye rolls as if to say "Oh, come on, you know that was funny". He will surely be missed.

Fred was preceded by his Parents: Stephan and Mary Kosar, daughter Sue (Glen) Graf, along with numerous Aunts, Uncles and cousins. Surviving are his wife: Janice Irizarry Kosar, sister: Natalie (Bill) Cuthbertson, children: Kimberly Kosar, Stephan (Caroline) Kosar, Brian (Beth) Kosar, George Mack, Hank (Stacy) Faulkner, and Kathy (Ramie) Selvey. His Grand Children: Megan (Brian) Morgan, Brennan (Sam) Hughes, Sean Little, Christian Little, Lauren Hughes, Jacob Woods, Joshua (Kelli) Kosar, Samual Little, Nicholas Brasel, Jackson Kosar. In addition were his Great Grandchildren: Nicholas (15), Piper (12), Vivian (9), Simon (8), Harry (8), Ethan (8), Rowan (7), Ophelia (7), Colton (7), Rylee (6), Mallorie (6), Elias (6), Grace (6), Elizabeth Kosar (3), Sienna (3), Hanna (2).
