Frances Bailey

Frances Faye Bailey was promoted to her Heavenly reward on September 15, 2015. She was the daughter of C. W. and Tiny (Grounds) Robinette of Amarillo, Texas, born on March 11, 1934. After she completed the second grade, the family moved to Otis, Kansas. Upon completing High School in Otis, she returned to Amarillo to live with her sister, Bobbye and to work with her sister, Irma.

In March of 1953, she met Leonard Bailey, an Airman at Amarillo Air Force Base. They were married on May 23, 1953 and moved to Youngstown, Ohio. After military duty was completed, they moved to Springfield, MO to attend Central Bible College. Frances spent a number of years as a Pastor’s wife and a mother. She also worked at the General Council AG Headquarters and Evangel College Business Office. They both retired in August of 1994.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, C.W. and Tiny Robinette (Grounds); sisters, Betty Wright, Irma Whitley, Bobbye York; and one grandson, Nathan Cooper.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Leonard; son, Curtis Bailey, Springfield, MO; daughter, Coleen Cooper and husband Dwight, Springfield, MO; daughter-in-law Lori Spence, Springfield, MO; brother C. W. Robinette, Jr. and wife Vickie, Amarillo, TX; five grandchildren, Bradley Cooper, Springfield,MO, Cody Cooper and wife Amy, Olathe, KS, Cara Bailey and husband, Jason, Farmington Hills, Michigan, Joshua Bailey and wife, Emily, Springfield, MO, Jenni Frye and husband Micah, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; four great-grandchildren, Ethan Cooper, Highlandville, MO, Dominick and Lukus Cooper, Olathe, KS, Ellie Rose Bailey, Springfield, MO; and a host of friends.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday Sept. 21, 2015 in Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home with Pastor David Carr officiating. Burial will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
