Frances Mae “Goldie” (Slavens) Alford, 89 of Alton, Missouri passed away at 8:44 a.m. Wednesday January 23, 2013 in Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains, Missouri.
Goldie was born February 3, 1923 in Springfield, Missouri to John and Clara (Campbell) Slavens.
She is survived by her nieces, Betty Morelock, Barbara Peak, Bonnie Seiler, Gayle Young, Vicki Church, Debbie Tate-Smith and Patty Skidmore; her nephews, Gene Fergus, Frank Broshears, Gary Slavens and Pete Slavens; and her granddaughter, Debbie Lunn.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday January 26, 2013 in Hazelwood Cemetery with Vernon Henson officiating under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home 500 E. Walnut Street Springfield, Missouri.
