Forrest A. Harrison, 80, of Springfield, passed away Saturday morning July 7, 2007 in his home.
Forrest was born April 8, 1927 in Ardmore, Oklahoma to Forrest and Betty (Andrews) Harrison. He served in the US Army during WWII, and was married to Mary Bramer Dec. 31, 1947. Mr. Harrison did research for Purdue University, and later was the Director of the Laboratories at the University of Connecticut Medical School. After moving to Springfield, Forrest was a chemist for Hoffman-Taft and was also a Master Gardener
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, John and Scott Harrison and his brother, Herbert Hoover. He is survived by his wife, Mary of the home, two sons, Chris Harrison of Ellington, Conn. and Kenneth Harrison of Bristol Conn. and his sister, Mary Margaret Hansen and her husband, David of Porterville, Calif.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday July 10, 2007 in St. Agnes Chapel with Fr. Mike McDevitt celebrant under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home. No visitation is planned.
