Mrs. Everetta Duncan Brunner, 87, passed away at home, in Springfield Mo. on June 21, 2007. Everetta was born August 1, 1919, in Buffalo, Mo., to Elbert E. Duncan and Lucy Bruce Helton. She married Edwin Lawrence Brunner on September 18, 1937. Everetta was a welder on war ships in World War II, and a school bus driver in Whittier, Ca.
Everetta was preceded in death by Eddie, her husband of 50 years; her parents Elbert and Lucy Duncan, her brothers Walter, Efton, Theron, Frasco, Deryl, Lyle, and baby Ralph.
Everetta is survived by her son Larry Brunner of Springfield, sisters Geneva Benson of Virginia, Juanita Boyce, Elberta Casteel and Mary Brayfield all of Springfield; four granddaughters, Christine Brunner, Nancy Ortman, Betsy Ishihara and her husband Scott, and Jennifer Townsend and her husband Greg; seven great-grandchildren, Jenna Ortman, Brianna Ortman, Corey Brunner, Michael Ortman, Alexandria Ishihara, Samantha Ishihara and Grace Townsend all in California, along with many nieces, nephews and loving friends.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, June 25, 2007 in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens 3506 N. National with Rev. Mark Kiser officiating under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home 500 E. Walnut.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. The casket will be closed at all times.
