Mrs. Eulalia L. McCraw, 84, Springfield passed away at 2:15 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2005 in her home following a short illness.
Eulalia was born Jan. 21, 1920 to Morris and Beulah (Brooks) Lindsey. She retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone company after 29 years and was a lifetime member of the Telephone Pioneers. Mrs. McCraw was a volunteer for several organizations including the Rogersville Senior Center and the American Red Cross. Eulalia married William "Gabe" McCraw on Feb. 6, 1951. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and good friend.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. She is survived by her children, James Gabriel McCraw and his wife Linda of Springfield, Brenda Miller and her husband Rod of Rogersville and Donna Chapman of Springfield; 5 grandchildren, Jennifer McCraw, Heather Foltz, Chris Miller, Kim Miller and Jessika Chapman; and a great grandson, Anthony Robert Moomaw; 2 sisters, Lydia Hagerman and Berti Chastain both of Willard; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in McCraw Cemetery with Sue Berry officiating under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home 500 E. Walnut. Visitation will be from 6 pm to 8 pm Thursday in the funeral home.
