Ernest C. Ramos, 42, Springfield, Missouri, passed away early morning of Friday, January 3, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield due to a sudden pulmonary embolism.
He was born December 24, 1982, in Bronx, New York to his loving parents, Ernest Ramos and Andrea Ramos. He started his early years on the military base in Germany, getting to travel all over Europe with his parents as a young child. He spent his adolescent years in Killeen, Texas, attending junior high and high school there.
Growing up, Ernest (nicknamed “E”) was a fun and adventurous child. He wasn’t afraid of things, which he carried to his adult life. He loved to help people and was a great friend to many. He was gifted with siblings who looked up to him. He was proud to be their big brother.
Ernest worked as a roofing apprentice in Joplin, Missouri before moving to Springfield, Missouri, where he was currently driving the taxi. He went above and beyond, truly enjoying this job. He got to travel and meet new people every day.
He found his way to Jesus and dedicated his life to serve Him. He was baptized in November and enjoyed having a relationship with Jesus. He met the love of his life, Aleasha, at church, and together they started building their empire. “E” was an active member of Freedom City Church in Springfield, Missouri and took it upon himself to help the lost and homeless find Jesus.
He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Candida Lugo, Frieda Eildermann, and Margarita Walters, his Opa Peter Bottjer.
He is survived by his fiancée, Aleasha, and soon-to-come daughter, Ezabella; his parents Andrea Ramos and step-dad, Marsiel Faulkner, Ernest Ramos and step-mom, Josephine. He is leaving behind his siblings, Carina Ramos, Melanie Ramos Winkler and Joseph Winkler, Jasmyne Ramos-Williams and Tijauna Ramos-Williams, Eboni Saba, JJ Ramos and Justice Snyder. He has nieces and nephews that he loved very much, Monroe, Joseph, Emily, Javi and Lola. He is also leaving behind aunts and uncles: Ronald Lugo, Evelyn Ramos, Manuela Brunjes-godmother, and Tanja Eildermann.
Services will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025 at 7:00PM at Freedom City Church, located at 1477 N. Broadway Ave in Springfield, where he served as an usher for most services. Pastor Matt Hufman will be officiating.
Graveside burial will be on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Fasken Cemetery on Locust Road in Carthage, Missouri at 1:00PM.
