Elsie Wilkins

Elsie Pauline Wilkins age 97, Springfield, Missouri passed away Sunday, February 14, 2016 in Bolivar, Missouri. She was born November 16, 1918, in Calhoun, Missouri to Frank and Mary Riley Miller. She was united in marriage to Melvin E. Wilkins on January 19, 1945. She worked 5 years in the (1940’s) in Civil Service USMC, San Francisco, and until her retirement was office manager at Springfield Hearing Aid Center which she operated with her husband.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Springfield. Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son Frank E.Wilkins in 1990, one brother Lawrence Miller, one sister Mabel Barnhart, and her aunt FrancesSouthers.
She is survived by one niece and four nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 17, 2016, in White Chapel Memorial Gardens under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home. No visitation is planned. Memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of Southwest Missouri.
