Elizabeth Williams

Elizabeth May Williams, 95, Penrose, Colorado was called up to heaven on November 6, 2010 in Canon City. Elizabeth was born in Springfield, Missouri. There she grew up and married her husband Johnnie Williams who she was married to for 60 years before he passed in1992.

She moved to Long Beach, California for several years.In California she worked in many department stores including Fredrick's of Hollywood. In her career years of department stores she worked with famous movie stars. During wartime Elizabeth would wrote letters to the military men to give them comfort and news of back home. She began writing letters when her brother James Lair was at war. Elizabeth has touched many hearts in her lifetime.

She will Be truly missed by her daughter Loretta Stanley, Son in law Coye Stanley and her granddaughter Monika Swift. Other hearts that she has touched and will be missed by great grand children Megan Stanley, Erik Swift, Sabrina Swift, and Ashley Swift. Elizabeth love will last forever in our hearts!

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, November 15, 2010 in Hazelwood Cemetery with Reverend Kenneth Hull officiating. There will be no visitation.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home.
