Elizabeth Peterson

Elizabeth Jane Peterson, age 99, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2024, in Mt. Vernon, Missouri.

She was born on March 20, 1925, in Inglewood, California the daughter of Frank Fleischhacker and Carrie (Keintz) Fleischhacker.

Elizabeth married Pete Peterson on April 1, 1945. To this union they had five children, Linda, Arlene, John, Jeanne, Marie & Tim. Her husband Pete, and her son Tim, are in Heaven waiting for her. Then the party will begin.

Her love for life was palpable. When her children were small, she ran an egg ranch in Cypress, California. Her beloved husband passed in 1989. After which she decided to join the Elks Club, her children were so proud of her. Her favorite vacation was going to Salmannsdorf, Austria to the village that her father grew up in. She went so many times that she watched babies born and become adults. The village adored her.

Elizabeth is survived by her children and their spouses, Linda & Tom Riles, Arlene & Randy Hatfield, John & Deanna Peterson, Jeanne Marie & Mike Hart and all of their children and grandchildren.

She was a great mother, wife, friend, and nana. She will be greatly missed.

Funeral Services for Elizabeth will be held at 2:30pm on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 4471 Lincoln Avenue in Cypress, California. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Cypress, California.
