Elizabeth O'Reilly

Elizabeth Louise O'Reilly, 74, Springfield, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 1, 2006, following a brief illness. She was born on April 2, 1932, in Lebanon, Mo., to Floyd and Minnie (Poynter) Peppers.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother, Aaron Peppers and her grandson, Flint Burrows Reeves.

Elizabeth was employed for many years as a paralegal and later worked in real estate sales with her loving husband, John O'Reilly, who survives her. Elizabeth enjoyed her membership in the The Red Hat Society, traveling, reading, sewing and designing clothing, singing in various church choirs, doing crafts, cooking and entertaining for family and friends. Mrs. O'Reilly had nearly completed her membership into the D.A.R. She will be remembered as a loving and caring lady with a quick smile who was willing to help anyone in need. Elizabeth was truly loved by all her family and friends.

In addition to her husband, Elizabeth is survived by her children and their spouses, Debi Hearty and John Waggoner, Sheena and Gene Beauchamp, Sheri and Michael Born; her grandchildren, Barbara Cash, Grant and Nolan Irving, David Beauchamp and his wife, Susan, Michelle Terrell and her husband Tim, Shane Born and his wife, Stephanie, Kyle Born and John-Cole Born; her great grandchildren, Natalie Kreider, Christopher Lowe Beauchamp, Tyler and Jaelyn Terrell, and Malachi Born; her stepchildren and their families, Paula O'Reilly-Green and her husband Dr. Christopher O'Reilly-Green, and their daughters, Siobhan, Megan and Caitlin; Patricia O'Reilly and her husband, Peter Mayer and their children, Brendan and India; Erin O'Reilly and her husband, Jay Diamond and their son, Jesse Rae; Jane Riley and her husband, Michael and their children, Samuel, Sarah and Steven; and Scott O'Reilly and his wife, Terri and their daughters, Laurel and Emily; two brothers, Cecil Peppers and his wife Connie, and James "Buddy" Peppers; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 4, 2006 in Herman H. Lohmeyer Chapel 500 E. Walnut St. with Brother Don Washam, officiating. Commital services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Bradshaw Cemetery, Eldridge, Mo. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
