Elita Chesnut

Elita E. Chesnut, 85, Branson, MO passed away on May 11, 2014 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO.
She was born on January 3, 1929 in Alameda, CA to Earl and Martha (Armstrong) Waller.
She attended schools in Tilly, AR and Gentry, AR. She married Glenn Chesnut in 1948.
In 1949, they and infant son Ed, traveled with two other couples to Oregon. A second son, Duane arrived in December of 1949.
In the mid 1970’s, Elita returned to the Oklahoma, Arkansas and Missouri area and her Ozark roots.
She is survived by her two sons and a daughter-in-law, two grandsons and four great-granddaughters all residing in Oregon. Elita is also survived by her Ozark “family” of loving friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Sunday May 18, 2014 at the God and Country Theater (near Applebee's) on the 76 strip (west from Highway 65).
