Eleanore Whitlinger

Eleanore Sandor Whitlinger was born March 10, 1925 in Akron, Ohio and departed this life on August 10, 2012 at the age of 87. She was united in marriage to her husband, Judson Herbert Whitlinger, on July 9, 1944. Eleanore was preceded in death by her parents Alexander and Helena Sandor, husband Judson H. Whitlinger, and son Joel Whitlinger. She is survived by her children Jud, Jeff, and Mary, a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and many friends she made throughout her life, especially residents and staff at the Franciscan Villa and the Strafford Care Center.

Visitation will be held at Herman Lohmeyer Funeral Home Sunday, August 12 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. and a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home chapel. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Monday, August 13 at 1:00 p.m. with burial to follow in Resurrection Cemetery.

Eleanore's strong Catholic faith and family were her life. She was loved and will be deeply missed. Godspeed, Mom. Go in peace, and go have a cup of coffee!
