Elbert Jenkins

Elbert John Jenkins, 93, Springfield, passed away February 2, 2013.
He was born September 11, 1919 in Lackawana County, Pennsylvania to John and Vietta (Robinson) Jenkins.
He is survived by his children, Roy Jenkins and his wife Sharon and Brenda Kay Hevelow; mother of his children, Virginia Smith Jenkins; grandchildren, Joshua Jenkins, and his fiancée Rachel Whalen, Jordan Jenkins, and his fiancée Ashley Conner, and Sadie Hevelow; great grandchildren, Timmy Coren, Marcus Whalen and Janis Whalen; sister, Lillian Dillon; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Visitation, informal celebration, and ministry will be from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday February 5, 2013 in Herman Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut St.
No formal services are planned.
