Edith was born March 25, 1958 in Strafford, No to union of Johnny and Veva Collins. Edith was raise with 3 siblings. 1 preceding her in death (Michael Collins).

Edith and Herman united in holy matrimony on July 26,1997. Two children were born to this union Etta and William Collins. She was preceded in death by her son.

Edith was the most down to earth person you could have ever met. She Retired from Quality Residential Care after 31 years in the healthcare field. She enjoyed being around her family and friends. Also she enjoyed being a mother and grandmother, she loved to spoil her grandkids.She did anything to help people in need. She will be truly missed.

She leaves to Cherish her memory A daughter Etta Collins 2 grandchildren Dorian Collins-mincey and Jaycee Gooding. 2 Brothers John Collins, Frank Collins, and Her mother Veva Collins. Also nieces, nephews, and friends.

A Memorial Graveside Service will be held at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at 3pm on December 5th, 2024. Please arrive 15 minutes early. We will end service with a balloon release on site.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home in Springfield, Missouri.
