Earl (Big Earl) Johnson

Earl (Big Earl) Johnson was born April 17, 1958 in Birdell, Arkansas to Jack and Mary
Johnson. In 1962, he moved to Springfield, Missouri with his family whom he loved dearly.

Earl departed from this life to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 20, 2018 in Mercy Hospital.

He is preceded in death by his parents Jack and Mary Johnson, one brother Ronald Johnson, two sisters, Ruby Johnson and Carolyn (Johnson) O’Conner and one great nephew, Joseph Johnson, Jr.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory one daughter, Raine Marika; one brother, Kenneth Johnson of Owasso, Oklahoma; two sisters, Wanda Johnson of Pocahontas, Arkansas and Melinda Johnson of Springfield, Missouri; one aunt, Agnes (Johnson) Young of Birdell, Arkansas; one uncle, James (Odessa) Johnson of Springfield, Missouri; best friend, Bernard McDonald of Springfield, Missouri and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Earl will be missed by all who knew or came in contact with him. He enjoyed traveling the highways and spending time at gatherings with his family and friends.

Memorial services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday April 27, 2018 in Herman H. Lohmeyer Chapel, 500 E. Walnut Street, Springfield, Missouri. Repass will follow the services at Silver Springs Park in Springfield.
