E. Leon Browning

Earl Leon Browning passed away in his home on Wednesday, December 23rd, 2015 in Springfield, MO after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born in Mexico, MO on September 20th, 1938 to Earl and Lola (Tate) Browning.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years E. Marie (Newman) Browning. They were married March 2nd, 1962 in St. Louis, MO. His children Boone Browning (Robbin) of Springfield, MO and their 3 children Mason, Emily and Chase, Newman Browning of Marshfield, MO, and his son Haden, Susan Carter (Brian) of Billings, MO, and their 3 children Ashley, Kaitlyn, and Caleb, Sara Tullos (John) of Bois D'Arc, MO and daughter Marissa, Stacy Browning-Little of Springfield, MO and 2 children Teighlor, Mattison. 4 great grandchildren. His brother Dr. Samual G Browning of Seattle, WA. Also his great lifelong friend Bill Berry and many, many other friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandson Dustin Maples.
Leon retired as a claims representative from Missouri Farm Bureau in September 2002. He then went to work for Thompson Cadillac as courtesy driver. He enjoyed very much, working with his co-workers at Thompson and he said that it was probably his favorite job. Leon enjoyed being in the outdoors hunting and fishing with his sons and grandsons. He enjoyed being with his family. He will be greatly missed and always remembered. A memorial service is incomplete at this time.
