E. Jean Kerley

E. Jean Kerley, 86, Springfield passed away November 16, 2012 in Springfield, Missouri. She was born on January 8, 1926 in Kansas City, Missouri to Clifford and Gladys (Wilson) Carter.

Jean graduated from Central High School in Kansas City, Missouri. She attended Baker University from 1943 to 1944, and graduated from UMKC in 1948 with a music history degree. Jean married Robert Kerley on June 10, 1948. She was an elementary school teacher for 18 years, retiring in 1984. Jean has lived in Springfield, Missouri since 1986. She was a member of Campbell United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her son, Greg Kerley.

She is survived by her sons, Stephen Kerley and Jon Kerley; 4 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday November 30, 2012 in Campbell United Methodist Church, 1747 E. Republic Road in Springfield, Missouri.

Jean was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
