Dorbina was a dedicated and loving mother to us all, her children, grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and their families both here in Springfield and throughout the US. She was truly the bond that held us all together and made our lives bearable far away from the Kosrae, the Pacific Island we call home. She always had time to lend a hand to comfort or ear to listen.
Dorbina departed to join the Angels at our Heavenly Home on November 1st, 2024, at the age of fifty-two. She was Born on September 13, 1972, to Dorinta and Donald Jonah of Kosrae, Micronesia. Dorbina was the fifth child, the younger of two sisters, and was a loving and kind child who loved playing with her cousins on the beach growing up in Tafunsak. She was raised in a Christian home and took pride in raising her children as devout Christians who put God over all else. Dorbina was married to Ludick K. Nithan on March 15, 1991. They had eight children and two grandchildren, all but Nena Ludick currently here in Springfield, MO. Dorbina moved from Kosrae to El Paso, TX on October 17, 2018, to care for her first grandchild, later moving to Springfield, MO on January 25, 2021, to join the rest of her family.
Dorbina is survived by her husband Ludick L. Nithan, sister Hobina C. Abraham and brothers Conald, Macnald and Tulpe, Vernald and Keslyn Jonah, children Dorline, Konlulu, Kildon and Betty, Kilbon, Ruth, Mersina, NR and late Nena L. Nithan, grandchildren Vailuna-Marie Claxton and Nena-Chris Ludick and various nieces and nephews here in Springfield and throughout the US.
