Donald Steitz

Donald Lee Steitz passed away peacefully on January 29th 2010 at age 72, surrounded by his loving family. Don was a loving husband and a wonderful father and friend.

Don was born in Bison, Kansas and attended Fort Hays State University. He served in the United States Air Force and then joined the Mosler Safe Company where he worked for 25 years. Don was also a long time member of The Elks Lodge #409.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, Constain and Florence Steitz. He is survived by his wife Alyse, six daughters, one son, and their spouses, 10 grandchildren and their spouses, four great grandchildren, two sisters, three nieces, one nephew and their children.

Visitation will be from 5 pm to 6 pm Monday Feb. 1, 2010 with prayer services starting at 6 p.m. and the Elk's Honor Guard to follow all in Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home 500 E. Walnut Street. Online condolences can be shared at www.hhlohmeyer.com.
