Mrs. Dolores Eileen Legg, 74, Springfield, passed away at 2:25 a.m. Tuesday, May 03, 2005 in St. John's Hospital.
Dolores was born, April 11, 1931 in Greely, Kansas to Charles (Doc) and Lura (Gommy) (Sutton) Strawn. She was preceded in death by her parents and her half sister, Doris.
Mrs. Legg is survived by her son, Cap Briant of Springfield; and two grandchildren, Cappy Briant of Colorado and Amy Lynn Briant of Tempe, Arizona; two daughters-in-law, Debbie Briant of Springfield and Barbara Zimmerman of Fremont Hills.
Dolores was a member of the Red Hat Society, and she was the past Worthy Matron of the Order Eastern Star. She was also a member of several card clubs, and loved her card playing buddies. Mrs. Legg also loved Missouri's lakes, having lived on both Lake of the Ozarks and Table Rock Lake. Her last great accomplishment, besides loving and protecting her family, was cleaning up the environment with the DNR Project at Table Rock Lake, which was completed this spring.
Funeral services will be at 4:00 p.m. Friday, May 06, 2005 in Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut. Visitation will be one hour prior to the start of the funeral service.
There will be a private burial at a later date in the Patton Family Cemetery, Mt. Vernon, Missouri.
