Dianna Mcquarry

Dianna Sue McQuarry, aged 73, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2024. She was a cherished wife, mother, stepmother, Mimi, sister, and friend whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Born on September 21, 1950, in Kansas City, MO, Dianna spent her early years there before pursuing a career in cosmetology. She found great joy in her work as a hairstylist, with notable positions at Lords and Ladies (Blue Springs, MO), Hair 2000 (Birmingham, AL), Gary’s Coiffures (Branson, MO), and most recently, By Shear Design (Hollister, MO).

Dianna's greatest joy came from her role as a devoted wife to Ken and a loving companion to their beloved dog, Chiefy. In her free time, she delighted in reading, watching Hallmark movies and QVC, spending time at the beach or lake, and being an avid Chiefs fan.

Dianna is survived by her loving husband, Ken; her son, Chris Miller (Tammy); her stepson, Chris McQuarry (Roxie); her stepdaughter, Christy Rice (Brian); and her grandchildren, Brianne, Kaitlynn, Joseph, Austin, Morgan, Bristol, and Harlow. She also leaves behind her sisters Janet, JoAnn, and Sandy, and her brother Danny. She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty J. Houtchens; her sister, Nancy; and her brother, Terry.

A celebration of life will be held for family and friends at The River Church in Forsyth, MO, on August 31, 2024, at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to St. Jude Research Hospital or The River Church in Forsyth.
