Devon Blake Cook, 12, Springfield, passed away at 12:32 p.m., Tuesday, December 26, 2006 in Cox Hospital South. He was born May 19, 1994 to Morris and Renee (Graves) Cook. Devon passed away from complications due to his Mosaic Chromozome Disorder 1Q. He was a miracle child who surpassed most children with this disorder.
Devon is survived by his mother, Renee; maternal grandmother, Linda Graves; maternal grandfather, Clyde Graves and wife Helen; great grandmother, Sally Wisehart; uncle, Adam Graves; great aunts and uncles, Bud & Cathy Wisehart, Mike & Mary McGuire, Chris & Jacky Wisehart, Linda & Larry Windsor; cousin, Nicole Wisehart; and many other cousins and friends.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 30, 2006, in St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Denis Dougherty, O.S.B., celebrant. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. No visitation is planned. However friends may call from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 29, 2006 in the funeral home.
The family would like to express their gratitude to all the doctors and nurses and staff at Cox South, and Integrity and Oxford Home Care. They want to especially thank Dr. Keith Mather, Dr. Douglas McNeal, Lucy Garrett, LPN and Linda Pollock, LPN.
