Devin Phelps

Devin Allen Phelps, age 28, was born May 11, 1987, in Springfield, Mo. From an early age, Devin loved adventure, motorcycles, deer hunting and lived life on the edge. Most of all he loved his two children. As a young boy, Devin prayed to accept Christ as his Savior and was baptized at Golden Avenue Baptist Church.

Devin departed this life on Sunday, February 21, 2016, from illness related to a disabling motorcycle accident in March, 2011. Devin is survived by his mother, Sandra Garrison; children, Mathew and Abigail Phelps; and sister, Jennifer Garrison. Other survivors include grandparents, Jerry and Barbara Garrison; great grandmother, Goldie Garrison; aunt, Delana and husband Steve Reynolds; three uncles, Jeff Garrison, Jerry and wife Gayle Garrison and Geo Phelps; lifelong friend, James Craven; and many cousins and friends. Memorial visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, February 27, 2016, in Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 East Walnut Street, Springfield.
