Delynn Hansen (Hans) Thomsen born December 16, 1924 in Minden, Nebraska and passed to eternal life April 8, 2009 in Springfield, Missouri.

Hans was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. He retired as Director of Signal Engineering for the Burlington Northern Railroad. He enjoyed golfing, woodworking, outdoor activities, and was a lifetime member of the Fraternal Order of Elks.

He was the devoted husband of Floretta "Ty" (Chapman), loving father of Mary Slupikowski, Kathleen Clem and her husband, Kevin, Susan Baumhover and her husband Michael, and Timothy Thomsen and his wife Marge; proud grandfather of 11 and great grandfather of 13 and Max, his dog; other survivors include one sister, Lavon Johnson and one brother, Burdette Thomsen.

Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday, April 13, 2009 in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church with Msgr. Thomas Reidy celebrant under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday with a prayer service starting at 5:30 p.m. all in the church. Burial will be at a later date in Prairie Home Cemetery Holdrege, Nebraska.
