Delpha M. Smith, 83, of Nixa, passed away Saturday January 18, 2014 at Jordan Creek Nursing Home.
Delpha was born May 19, 1930 in Pindall, Arkansas to Henry and Lilly (Tramell) Mills. She had a prosperous career in the insurance industry. Delpha was an active member of Wesley United Methodist Church, The Springfield Little Theatre Guild and The Red Hat Society.
She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Espy L. Smith, Jr.; her children, Chris Ansoms and Diane Braun; her grandchildren, Chris and Charles Ansoms, Kandi Garza, Dawn Nelson, Kristy Gray and John Boardman.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday January 21, 2014 at Wesley United Methodist Church with Dr. Bruce Baxter officiating. Entombment will follow in Rivermonte Memorial Gardens under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service in the church.
A dinner will be served for friends and family at Wesley United Methodist Church following the committal ceremony.
