David Lee Montgomery. Jr.

Dave L. Montgomery, Jr. 52 of Springfield passed away Sunday morning November 6, 2011 in his home.
Dave was born February 13, 1959 in Springfield, Missouri to Davy L. & Thelma (Anderson) Montgomery. He served in the U.S. Army for 12 years. Dave loved his family and was a great father, grandfather, brother and husband.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents and his grandson, Blake Lee Stafford.

He is survived by his children, Davy Lee Montgomery, III, John Montgomery (Stephanie), and Juanita Montgomery (Brandon Hinkley); seven grandchildren; his sisters, Pam Fields (Robert Kendrick), Paula Brake, Cindy Montgomery, Sheila Burros (Mark); his brother, Curtis Montgomery (Jill); many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday November 9, 2011 in Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home 500 E. Walnut Street. Graveside services with military honors will be at 2 p.m. Thursday November 10, 2011 in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor Scott Killingsworth officiating.
