David Robert Wynn, age 59, of Springfield, Missouri passed away on Monday, June 21, 2021.
David was born January 26th 1962 at Burge Hospital Springfield Mo. (now Cox North) and was subsequently adopted by Robert S. Wynn and Mary J. Wynn and previously adopted sister Laura Wynn.
He grew up in Springfield going to Mark Twain Elementary School where he met his lifelong best friend of 54 years, Robert Crain. Later on going to Jerret Middle School, where he became a track star breaking the record for the 100 yard dash.
In 1974 his family moved to Sparta Mo. where they lived in the home he and his father had built by hand and lived there until he joined the Navy in 1978 where he spent 14 months at sea subsequently returning to travel the U.S.
In 1984 he met his wife and mother of 3 of his daughters, Cassandra Wynn, Andrea Carnahan and Morgan Bell.
In 1988 his father passed from cancer and 1 year later he met his other life long best friend Robert Crain's wife Lisa Crain.
David went on to lose his sister Laura Wynn to a tragic murder in 1992 and lost his mother to cancer in 1997. Later that year he met Linda Wallace, the mother of his youngest daughter, Mary Wynn, where they subsequently spent 6 years together. He spent the next 20 years being an amazing father and friend.
He prided himself on being an honest and caring man who could roll one great joint, was an amazing truck driver, he loved his caves, poker, coffee and conspiracy theories, as well as adoring his daughters and grandkids and his Emmy.
He was respected by many, loved by most, and will be truly missed by all.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut Street, Springfield, Missouri 65806.
