David Wright

David Avery Wright, age 59, went to be with his Lord and Saviour February 4, 2011, at his home in Springfield, Missouri surrounded by his family and friends after a long battle with cancer.

He was born in Junction, Texas February 11, 1951. David was a disabled veteran, wounded in Vietnam while serving his country from 1968 to 1978. He owned and operated Wright's Upholstery and Auto Trim with his son Daniel. David was a member and one of the song leaders at Silver Springs New Hope Church. He was a very talented singer and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife, Annie; two daughters, Dawn Lee and Diane Wright of North Carolina; two step sons, Daniel and wife Crystal of Springfield, Mo. Paul Enlow and wife Heather of California; his sister, Peggy Eckert of Texas; his brother, James Wright of Texas; Sixteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday February 10, 2011 in Herman H. Lohmeyer Chapel with Pastor Ronnie Dean officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Mo.. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday in the funeral home.
