David Spitz

David Allen Spitz, 54, Springfield, MO departed this life November 1, 2011.
He was born June 17, 1957 in Polk County, MO to Cecil and Bernice (Riddle) Spitz.

David was a teacher and coach. He was very proud of his team and they accomplished many great wins and went to state. He worked for Mid-Am Dairy for many years and then went on to pursue his dream of being a coach at Marshfield Schools. He was an avid Cardinals fan. David loved his boys, who were his pride and joy and attended the many games and sporting events throughout their lives.

He was united in marriage to Mindy Bonner, his former wife, and to this union two sons were born.

Survivors include two sons, Jared Spitz of Columbia, MO and Logan Spitz of Springfield, MO, one brother, John Spitz and one sister Sharon Fink and their families.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, November 4, 2011 in Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut Street, Springfield, MO. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM Thursday in the funeral home.

Memorials may be made in care of the funeral home to the College Education Fund for Jared and Logan Spitz.
