David Robinson

David Alan Robinson, 58, Springfield, passed away at 2:15AM, Saturday, 8-25-2012 in his home from complications of cancer. David was born 5-13-1954 in Springfield to Clyde and Bonnie Robinson. He was married to Peggy Garrison whose heart jumped any time she saw him. Together they raised 3 boys who are happy to hear that they are just like their dad.
David worked as a manager at Howard Johnson’s restaurant, salesman at IBT, contracted painter and transporter for the railroad. For the past three years, he worked for the Council of Churches at Day Break. David was devoted to God, his family, and work.
David was preceded in death by his father: Clyde Robinson. He is survived by: his mother Bonnie, brother Loren, wife Peggy, his children, David, Paul, Adam; grandchildren, Kylia, and other relatives.
Funeral services will be at 11:00AM on Saturday, 9-01-12, in Grant Avenue Baptist Church, with Calvin Mayberry officiating under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut, Springfield. Visitation will be Friday, 8-31-12, 6:00-8:00PM in Grant Avenue Baptist Church. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Grant Avenue Baptist Church, 1033 N. Grant, Springfield.
