David Myers

David Preston Myers passed away peacefully from pneumonia at Cox South on Saturday, October 7th. with his wife, son and daughter-in-law by his side.

David was born on December 3rd,1947 at Garden City, Kansas to Derald and Juanita Myers. His family moved to California, where David lived until he graduated high school. He moved to Missouri in 1980. He was skilled in many trades, especially carpentry, and built the family home in Ozark in 1986. He and Kay moved to Springfield in 2000.

David loved to read, watch sports on TV and play bridge with friends.

David is survived by his wife of 45 years, Kay, son. Alex and wife Maureen, daughter Dana and spouse Ryan, son Christopher, brothers Kim and Steve and Steve's wife Vesta and grandchildren Olivia, Claire, Ryan, and Sophia along with other family and friends.

A celebration of David's life will be held Friday, Oct 13th at 2 pm at Herman Lohmeyer Funeral Home at 500 E Walnut in Springfield.

In lieu of flowers a donation to David's favorite, the Convoy of Hope, or an organization of your choice would be appreciated.
