David Mcgregor

David F. McGregor, 86, of Springfield, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2009, in St. John's Hospital after a sudden illness. He was born on March 31, 1923, in Springfield, Missouri, to Dave and Hortense (Heffernan) McGregor. He attended school at St. Agnes in Springfield and at Drury College before joining the Air Force. He was President of McGregor Variety Company.

David was predeceased by his wife, Nancy and his brother, Arch McGregor. His survivors include his sister, Marie Ward and her husband Preston of Las Vegas, Nevada; brother, Malcolm McGregor of Texas City, Texas; five nieces, Sherrie Marie Gaudino and her husband Steve of Honolulu, Hawaii; Linda Ward of Las Vegas, Nevada; Rebecca King and her husband Jim of Galveston, Texas; Alice McGregor of Tulsa, OK; and Susan McGregor and her husband Dusty of Mariposa, CA; three nephews, David McGregor of Ridgedale, MO; James McGregor and his wife Kara of Branson, MO; and Mike McGregor and his wife, Pat of Bakersfield, CA.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2009, in St. Agnes Chapel, 533 South Jefferson with Father Mike McDevitt celebrant. Burial will follow in Maple Park Cemetery under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home.
