David Harris

David Kent Harris, 61 was born Feb. 3, 1954 at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas to Denzil and Charline Harris and passed away May 9, 2015 in Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO.
David grew up in a close knit family and attended Springfield schools and was baptized in Second Baptist Church at a young age. He was a business and property owner from young adulthood on. He had a generous heart and helped many people along the way.
He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
David is survived by his daughter, Miranda Lipscomb and her husband Jacob; and soon to be grandson, David Wayland Lipscomb; his mother; brothers, Drew Harris and Darrell Harris; his sisters, Donna Harris Davis and her husband David, all of Springfield; Dena Erwin and her husband Bob of Strafford and Dee Ann Cole of Brady, Texas. He is also survived by Miranda’s mother, Jill Harris and her family, aunts, uncles, 3 nieces and a nephew. Also surviving is a special friend, Tami Lewis and her children, Riley, R. J. and Randi and many other friends.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday May 12, 2015 in Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home 500 E. Walnut St. Memorial Graveside Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday May 13, 2015 in Hazelwood Cemetery.
