David Wayne Gendreau

David W. Gendreau, 63, passed away peacefully in his home in Springfield, MO after a lengthy hospital stay following heart surgery.

He was born June 21st, 1961 at Travis Air Force Base in California to Wilfred L. Gendreau, Jr. and Helen L. (Woodman) Gendreau who preceeded him in death.

He is survived by his children, Bobby Gendreau, Jeffrey Gendreau and Cassie Gendreau; sister Deborah (Jerry) Ferguson, brother Mark (Amy) Gendreau, sister Denise Gendreau-Walters; longtime partner Carole Hodge and sweet puppies Sam and Yoshi all whom he loved fiercely.

Dave was a U.S. Army Veteran and later worked as an over-the-road truck driver.

Dave had a great smile and his sense of humor was one of his greatest attributes. He was greatly loved by many and will be missed dearly as he was definitely one-of-a-kind. We will find peace and comfort knowing we will be together again. 

Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 PM Friday, April 11th, 2025 at Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E Walnut, Springfield, MO.
