Daun Depaul

Daun Marie DePaul, 70, has passed away on Monday, November 25th, 2024 peacefully with loved ones at her side. She was the loving wife of Anthony J DePaul over 30 years.

Born on May 15th, 1954 in Champaign, Illinois, Daun was the Daughter of Dorothy (Kahoun), and Marshall Rainey. She was the second of four children, Steve, Daun, Nancy and Doug. Daun attended Irving Crown High School in Carpentersville, and went on to get her CNA and work in health care most of her career.

She was a member of the Catholic Chruch, and enjoyed spending time with her family and loved ones. She will be remembered and missed dearly by all those who knew her.

Daun is survived by her daughters Colleen Barton (Patrick Barton), Justyna DePaul (Jake Olson), and grandchildren Daytona Higareda, Zackery Higareda, and great grandchildren Ashlynn Olson and Jaxon Olson, and her beloved cat, Persephone.

She is predeceased by her husband Anthony, her parents Dorothy and Marshall, her brother Douglas Rainey.

A celebration of life for Daun will be held the 7th of June, 2025 place and time to be determined with a graveside service following at Windridge Memorial Park in Cary, IL.
