Daniel Grant

Daniel Leroy Grant was born on February 23rd, 1957 to Elizabeth (Sister) Johnson and M.L. Mints. He gained his heavenly wings on Tuesday, December 1st, 2020 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.

Some called him Boone and some called him '223' but most knew him as the "Doctor" or Doc.

Those who have gone on before him his parents, his grandparents, Nelson and Lucille Johnson, his brother, Marvin Grant (Marvin Jr, Michael, Justin) and respectfully a lot of other family and friends.

He leaves behind temporarily; a daughter, Merchanda Johnson and grandchildren, DeShaun and Kevin Mckinnie Jr, Shivell Crosby, Makeehreh and Kabreeya Johnson. He also leaves behind his son, Daniel Smith. He also leaves behind siblings, Elizabeth Revees (Audra and Brian), Jean Stallworth (Shandra and Paula), Michael Grant (Taleasha, Alicia, Amanda), Elizabeth Wells (Edward, Eulyn), Mitzy Doomes (Jacquesha), Carolyn Mints (Gabriel) and a lot of cousins and close friends.

Danny loved to fish in his leisure time and he loved his family and friends near and far. Danny had a sweet soul and a kind heart and he will be greatly missed!

Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 pm, Friday, December 11th, 2020 at Herman H. Lohmeyer Chapel: 500 E. Walnut Street Springfield, Missouri 65806, with Elder T.L. Walton, Sr. presiding over the services. Burial will follow at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, Missouri.
