Daniel Franklin

Daniel (Danny) Thomas Franklin, 57, Springfield, passed away at 11:45 p.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2005 in his home.

Danny was born August 24, 1947 in Springfield, Missouri to Thomas and Verna (Westland) Franklin. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church for over 30 years. Danny worked for General Electric for 33 years, and he loved to go fishing and hunting. Mr. Franklin also served in the U.S. Army with the 8th Airborn Division.

Danny is survived by his wife of 34 years, Beverly (Gaylor) Franklin; three children, Kelly Meyer, Shawnda Franklin, and Scott Franklin, all of Springfield; one grandaughter, Eden Danielle Meyer; and one brother, David Franklin of Siloam Springs, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandaughter, Katlyn Rikard.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 21, 2005 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut.

Visitation will be from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. Friday with Rosary starting at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
