Dale Hite

Dale Garrett Hite, 71, Strafford, passed away in his home Sunday, February 21, 2016. Born in Los Angeles to Clarence and Velma Hite January 12, 1945. Dale grew up in Lebanon, Missouri and attended Lebanon High School he then went on to graduate from Southwest Missouri State College.

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1962 to 1966 and was a Vietnam Veteran. In his spare time he enjoyed restoring classic cars and riding his beloved motorcycles. He is survived by his two children – McKenzie (Andrew) Francis and Neile (Eric) Smith; grandchildren – Madeline and Owen; brothers – Dr. Dennis (Deanna) Hite and Michael (Jo Lyn) Hite as well as five nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held Monday, February 29, 2016 at 11am at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Springfield.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fisher House Foundation.
