Corey Blackwell

Corey Nathan Blackwell, age 28 of Springfield, passed away Saturday, September 13, 2014 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield. He was born November 22, 1986 to James and Lisa Blackwell in Miami, Oklahoma. Corey enjoyed wrestling, playing video games, and he loved animals. He also volunteered to help animals at CARE.

Corey Nathan Blackwell is survived by his father and step mother; James Blackwell and Debbie Jackson, two brothers; Michael Buzzard of Newkirk, Oklahoma, and Joshua Blackwell of Commerce, Oklahoma, four step brothers; Douglas Dainty of Miami, Oklahoma, Steven Dainty of Miami, Oklahoma, Cody Sevivy of Hominy, Oklahoma, Dakota Swoggr of Grove, Oklahoma, two step sisters; Brittany Jackson of Springfield, Missouri and Sylvia Sutter of Miami, Oklahoma, two grandmothers; Shirley Mitchell of Afton, Oklahoma and Bessie Mattingly of Miami, Oklahoma, and several aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lisa Blackwell.
