Colleen Lebolt

As was said about her dear husband’s passing more than 30 years before, “A light has gone out in Springfield.” Colleen Juanita Rose LeBolt’s light had shone brightly for 87 years until she passed away peacefully on May 25. She was best known for her sharp, frank, quick wit, her love of life, and devotion to her family and friends.

She was a wonderful and devoted wife to Dave, a great mother to her sons Mike and Doug and their wives Kathy and Denise, and loving grandmother to Ali, Michelle and Christopher. Colleen was born in Conway, Arkansas on May 12, 1925 to Paul E. Rose and Garnet Fogel Rose. She is survived by her sister Rejoyce Rose Morris, her nephew Robert Morris and his wife Anita of Conway, Joy’s daughter Diane Morris Schrekenhoffer and her husband Thomas of Sherwood, AR, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews in the Little Rock area. She was preceded in death by her brothers X.L. and Elgin Rose and her sister Wanda Rose, all of Conway.

At her request, a family graveside service will be held Thursday, May 31 at Temple Israel Cemetery in Springfield. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be sent to the Humane Society of the Ozarks or the National Parkinson Foundation.
