Coen Wood

Coen Reed Wood was born on May 19, 1988. Coen left this life on September 4, 2008.

Coen is survived by his wife Neeley; his beloved dogs, Zeus and Malley; his mother, Velvet Shoults; his father, Bruce Wood; his stepfather, Nicholas Shoults; his brothers, Will, Michael, Matt, Mitchell, Scott, and Cliff; his sisters, Michelle and Maria; his numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews; his grandmothers, Jane Reed, Lucille Shoults, and Phyliss Wood.

He is preceded in death by his Aunt Holly, Grandpa Reed, Grandfather Wood, and Grandfather Shoults.

Coen was the sunshine in his parent's eye. There was never a day passed we were not proud of him. He lived his life on his terms and strived to rise to the occasion. He loved his friends like brothers. His love of cooking drew him to seek a career in Culinary Arts. He loved hiking, climbing, snow skiing, wakeboarding, skate boarding, and his dogs.

He never ask for a thing, graciously accepting help and seeking praise earned. He will be deeply missed and will remain in his mother's heart for an eternity.

Visitation will be 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday September 7, 2008 in Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut. A wake celebration will follow the visitation at the Shoults' residence.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with burial to follow at Eastlawn Cemetery.
