Clifton Ambrose Byron passed away Thursday, November 11, 2010, born June 2, 1928 to Nellie Elizabeth and John Peter Byron of Bristol, SD. One of nine children, Clifton was also survived by his wife Eulamae and a twin brother, Clinton Barnabus Byron.
Upon graduating school in Bristol, SD, Clifton joined the US army, serving in the Philippines until discharge. In 1948 he married Eileen Mae Waalk who preceded him in death, and to this union were born two children, Joanie Marie Utter and Jeffrey John Byron, as well as grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Recognized with many awards and certificates for state, national and federal project development and leadership of Parks System programs, Clifton worked in manufacturing and later for the U.S. National Park Service. He served in various national and state parks and was well known as an excellent Ballroom dancer and a lover of music.

Memorial Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 16, 2010 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, under the direction of Herman Lohmeyer Funeral Home. No visitation is planned.
